Overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of our group of dental practices. He has overall responsibility for managing the company’s finances, including financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting.
Aspired by his late father’s hard work and dedication, from a young age Taufeeq has strived for an entrepreneurial future. Inspired from notable individuals such as Malcolm X, Carphone Warehouses’ CEO Charles Dunstone and Taufeeq’s uncle SHAH AMS Kibria, Ex-Finance Minister of Bangladesh, they have shaped his outlook to success, amongst a strong belief in continued education and knowledge.
Experience
Taufeeq has experienced a varied mix of sales, and service led sectors. Studying Computing to master’s level, he realised his passion for business and studied to attain qualifications in financial services, inevitably setting up his own successful brokerage, Rauf Wellington Financial Services. Taufeeq’s dental career started shortly after the credit crunch of 2008.
Taufeeq married Dr Kabita Shah and setup Edenfield Dental Care in Rochdale. To solidify Taufeeq’s commitment to Dentistry he attained qualifications for him to able to register with the General Dental Council and has since served as Registered Manager under the Care Quality Commissions requirements.
Community
Taufeeq enjoys socialising and taking responsibility for the community. He has been involved in organising events and sessions in educating and promoting Oral Health initiatives. This led him to be appointed Treasurer for Healthwatch Rochdale in 2017. An organisation that gives people a voice in health and social care systems in the United Kingdom.
Taufeeq is now working to expand his social responsibility and is looking to setup an organisation that will be able to deliver Oral Health services to under privileged communities in developing countries. The initiative will focus on creating a sustainable organisation that will be able to operate for future generations.
Outside of work
Outside work Taufeeq enjoys the thrill of fast cars, socialising and spending time with his amazing 3 children.
